Cobble is a grey shorthair who lives with the person who started this studio, and is the cat in every example on this site. Quill is the founder's brother's cat. We named the studio after them because that's who it's for: one particular, much-loved cat.
About
Named after two real cats,
Cobble and Quill

Why a studio for cats
A portrait of your cat should look like your cat: the exact grey, the ears, the steady stare. Yet buying one can feel like a gamble. Often you see nothing until a box arrives, and it's hard to tell what was painted and what was printed.
So the studio is built around a few simple ideas. You see a preview of your portrait first. You choose a canvas print or a real oil painting made by hand. And we tell you plainly how each one is made.
What we promise
Cats only
Most pet-portrait shops are built around dogs. We make portraits of cats, for people who love them.
You see it first
Every portrait starts as a digital preview you approve, with one free round of changes. No guessing.
Real paint when it matters
Our oil portraits are painted by hand by professional artists. Our Canvas Print is a print, and we always call it one.
Honest about how it's made
We tell you who makes each piece, where, and roughly how long it takes, before you order.
Opening this November
Be first in line for a portrait
Leave your email and we'll write when orders open, with the holiday order-by dates. That's it: no newsletter, no daily emails.
Studio note: if you tell us your cat's name, we'll know who we're painting.
