Memorial portraits

A portrait to keep them close

We're so sorry for your loss.

When you're ready, a memorial portrait can hold the way they looked at you and the markings you knew by heart. There's no rush. Take all the time you need.

How we make a memorial portrait

  1. Any photos you have

Old, blurry or few photos are expected. Send everything you have, and we'll tell you honestly what's possible before anything is made. We can combine details from several photos.

  2. Their name, their years, a few words

Add their name and years, like Mochi · 2009–2026, and a short line if you'd like one. Choose from the lines below or write your own, up to about 60 characters.

  3. Every word checked with you

Your preview shows the exact wording. We'll ask you to confirm the spelling of their name and the dates before the portrait is made.

  4. Honest about timing

If there's a date that matters, such as an anniversary or a service, tell us first. We'll say plainly whether we can make it, and suggest the faster Canvas Print if that helps.

Wording

A few words, if you'd like them

The format is their name and years, with an optional short line underneath. Here are a few lines to choose from. You're always welcome to write your own.

  • Forever in our hearts
  • Always by our side
  • Our best friend, always
  • Loved beyond words
  • Until we meet again
  • You were home
  • Gone from our arms, never from our hearts
  • Thank you for choosing us
  • Forever purring in our hearts

How the wording appears in your preview

Which portrait

Memorial wording can be added to any of our portraits: the Canvas Print, the Petite Oil or the Hand-Painted Oil. A hand-painted oil makes a lasting keepsake, and the Canvas Print is there when time matters most.
